Search Rules

In 250 words or less, tell us why you feel the father you are nominating should be the National Father's Day Committee "All-Star" Dad. Those nominated must be Fathers - Biological, Adoptive of Foster Fathers. Entries must discuss the nominated Father's community service, participation in family activities, charitable work and, if applicable, any other activities that he participates in. Entries must be typed, double-spaced or printed legibly. Video submissions are accepted. Entries will be judged on the amount of community service the nominated Father does, his impact on family, the impact his service has on his community or society generally, and the other activities in which he engages.

The essay must be entrant's own original creation and may not have been published previously, entered in any other contest or won any other award. By entering, the entrant certifies that all representations contained in the entry are true. Entrant may nominate himself. Please include your name, address and telephone number, as well as the name address and telephone number of the father you are nominating with your entry. Mail entries to: "All-Star" Dad Contest, c/o National Father's Day Committee, 34-09 Queens Boulevard, Third Floor, Long Island City, NY 11101. Or submit them via email @ allstardad.org. Mail-in and online entries must be postmarked or submitted by electronic mail no later than 11:59 p.m. EST, Tuesday, May 21st. Contest sponsors are not responsible for lost, late or misdirected mail, or mutilated, illegible or incomplete entries. Entrants and nominated fathers must be legal residents of the Contiguous United States and D.C. Submissions from minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by a permission signature from an adult/legal guardian. Nominated Fathers must have children as a result of the family relationships as stated above.

Employees, members and the families of the National Father's Day Committee, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising, promotion and public relations agencies are not eligible to enter or be selected.

"All-Star" Dad" Rules

A winning entry will be selected from all eligible entries on or about May 31, 2024. The Winner of the "All-Star Dad" search (the nominee who is the subject of the winning entry) will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. Judging for the Search will be done by the staff of the National Father's Day's Committee. By participating, each entrant accepts these rules and agrees to be bound by the decision of the judges, which is final. Submission of an entry and/or acceptance of a prize grants Sponsors the exclusive, perpetual right to publish, use, edit, adapt, modify, excerpt and/or copy the entry for any and all purposes in any and all media currently in existence or hereafter invented without further compensation to entrant.

Prizes/Awards: Winning entry's nominee for the 2024 "All-Star" Dad award will receive a trip to New York City for himself and up to three family members at dates to be mutually agreed upon. The trip will include: two double-occupancy hotel rooms for two night/three day stay, round-trip coach air transportation from an airport near "All-Star" Dad's residence to the New York City, NY area (hotel, airport and airline to be determined by Sponsors at their sole discretion). Blackout dates and other restrictions may apply.

The ARV (approximate retail value) of the trip is $3,500. ARV may vary based upon location of winner's residence. Ground transportation and all other expenses are the sole responsibility of the "All-Star" Dad award recipient. As a condition of receiving the "All-Star" Dad award, nominated Father must agree to be interviewed by the media, if requested by Sponsors. (Sponsors are under no obligation to request any of the aforementioned items.) Other terms, conditions and restrictions may apply. In the event the winning entry's "All-Star" Dad nominee declines the award or any terms, conditions and/or restrictions associated with the award, Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify the nominee and to award the "All-Star" Dad award to the nominee of the next best entry.

Other Conditions: Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner and an alternate "All-Star" Dad award recipient (which will be the nominee of the next best entry). No substitution or transfer of prizes/awards by winner/award recipient. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute prizes with prizes of equal or greater value. The winner and potential "All-Star" Dad award recipient (and travel companions) must comply with all instructions in the prize notification letter and must sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and Publicity Release (where permitted by law) within 14 days of the prize notification date; otherwise an alternate winner and/or award recipient may be selected (from the next best eligible entry). All expenses not specifically provided by Sponsors are the responsibility of the award recipient. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner and award recipient, respectively. By entering and/or by accepting a prize/award, you agree to be bound by these rules and to release Sponsors from any and all liability arising out of your participation in this Search with respect to the awarding, receipt, use and/or misuse of any prize/award.
